Hi

I use the http://www.thesleepstore.co.nz/shop/Swaddling+Wraps/Fitted+easy+wraps/Miracle+Blanket.html - Miracle Wrap , I found I wasn't very efficient at swaddling plus I have a wee girl who is very successful at escaping her arms. This has been magic and she has slept better since we got it!  -------------

I agree! I have used them for both my boys and they are so stretchy and light enough for summer babies and easy to add layers on top over winter.

I used the Bunny Rugs at first but then moved to the sleep stores jumbo wraps when he got bigger. If I had my time again I would be tempted to buy a miracle wrap as he is such a little wriggler. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

We bought one of the miracle wraps as I read somewhere it was supposed to be almost houdidni proof. My wee girl was out of it in two seconds. The Kiddapotomus ones were really good thou. Issy was out of the miracle wrap in two seconds .. I got rid of it after one day.

Hello ladies,
my bub is due in March and I bought http://www.thesleepstore.co.nz/shop/Swaddling+Wraps/Fitted+easy+wraps/Wrap+Me+Up+Swaddle.html - THIS WRAP (because I thought it looks like a funny tedpole suit and sounds logical, hehe). Of course I haven't tried it out, yet. Has anyone an opinion as to how good/bad these are?? I'd really appreciate some opinions, maybe someone has used on of these? They're made in Aussie. The only thing I could see that could be a problem is you wont be able to wrap a newborn tight enough as that one is designed to let them move their arms, which kind of defeats the purpose of wrapping them ------------- Mummy to Issy (3) and Elias (18 months) I did it .. 41 kgs gone! I was just hoping it still wraps them tight enough to reduce the startling reflex as it is pretty small and tight but stretchy... Wonder, has anyone actually used one of these? |

Me! I've just got a Wrap Me Up as in the link, and I'm loving it - wish I'd had one for my first born. Yes the arms are up by their face but I always wrapped with arms up on the chest as my girl likes to suck her hands to self settle. This wrap is better as it holds the arms close to the body, so they don't have the startle reflex with their arms but can still suck their hands. It's tight enough that they can't wave them around if that makes sense? I'm going to order another one I like it so much.
If you like the idea of them but aren't sure about the arms then there is a version called a Woombie where the baby's arms stay by their side, I think someone sells them on Trade Me. ------------- Two little girls under 2!

| I also found the Miracle Blanket to be good for our DD. She used to fight a little at first against having her arms secured but slept a lot better with it on. It is worth persevering if your baby seems to not be all that keen on it at first. |

We use this wrap and LOVE it! Liam absolutely hates being swaddled with his arms by his side, he struggles and cries until we let him out and has done since he was born. This one is perfect because his hands are up (as he usually sleeps) but he can only move them slightly up and down, they are cotton/spandex so it's very snug and a lot tighter than you would think.
