I will start for you Deb and see what repucussions come back.

If you ask for advise you are going to get alot of different advise, don't shoot it down you did ask and it will be varied.

I have seen so many people on here ask for advise and get shi*ty when they get told something they don't want to hear.

I wont shoot you down becks... totally agree!!! If you cant handle the responses dont post the question (boy I am gonna get it for that comment!).

I do think that sometimes people could be a little bit more tactful in their repsonses though.

There you go, I have added one of my own!

Agree with both of these comments  At the end of the day though everyone is entitled to express their opinion, and hey if something annoys me or p*sses me off I always have the option of turning off the computer

Bizzy it should be like that for every post and thread

There could be some great ideas and advice I'm missing out on cause people don't want to 'offend' by posting.

As long as it isn't nasty and there are general forum rules around that post what you like.

However after a recent incident I wish you could only view the forums by being a logged in member.
Some of the threads come up on google.

oh?!

sometimes i think people think they have offended but dont... and vice versa of course.. i dont think there is anything wrong with offending someone, thats just life and its bound to happen...

i feel sorry for people who are scared to post - and for the people who miss out on what could potentially be some good advice or feedback.

i was having a look at the TM message boards the other day, boy are they a bit hardcore. People go out of the way to actually insult, not offend!

Do people really care about upsetting other people here though? I mean, it's not your fault if people take things the wrong way, so why should you lose any sleep over it?

The ones who take things the wrong way usually aren't people who "know" you.. I mean, my OB/FB friends probably get that I'm a joker, so when I come on here acting like a dick then it's no shock.. but someone who may not know me could find me offensive. Ah well..

I my OB/FB friends

I think because we're all women with hormones and obviously different personalities, there will always be conflict of some sort.  But I do think this board is nice compared to a lot of others out there (that I've heard, I don't visit any other forum - who has the time?!?!)  But I come in here for support and friendship and I get that and just stay away from the negative stuff.

Yep I totally agree, a woman I know here is on there and it is horrible some of the things said.

I know I have been called a bi*ch for some things I have said on here in the past (been here for almost 4 years now) and I like other people don't care. I love the people on here I have met IRL and others that I am FB friends with too.

I think we should stop singling out people like LF for voicing their opinions, I think its unfair to label someone as a "bully" and a bit like high school IMO.

Here goes...!

I think that some people need to chill out and stop taking every damn post so seriously! If you ask a question... and get a reply you don't like... SHUT UP! You asked for advice! Just ignore it and moooove on

There's far more important things in life to worry about rather than something someone posted on a forum...

Amen

i dont post much out of the TTC thread but i read a lot of the posts and agree with this comment! if you ask for advise from other people (on a public forum!) that is what they are going to give you! you dont have to agree with it or even use the advise but its that persons opinion and its what you asked for!
