I think you make life a little bit more interesting

Sometimes I wander around these boards & think oh just use the search function but I do understand that doesn't work all the time so I get bored...You add to the wide variety of personalities on here. If you are a little stronger viewed or more opinionated than others that is fine, we just have to get to "know" you better! Don't go into other due in threads so don't know what you are like in there.

Yes you're opinionated, and it took me a while to work you out and I think we clashed heads when I first started posting and I wasn't sure what I'd got myself into, but now I feel like I get who you are and I appreciate your openess.  Can't say I always agree with your views but I take what you say with a grain of salt now instead of getting upset by it.

Bizzy, I think you a brave honest woman, who sticks up and speaks out for what you think is right (or the right way). Because of this, sometimes you come across as a B with an itch, and you have rubbed me up the wrong way before, but just between you and I and the internet world - I actually like you. I was always taught to say what I think, and that pussy footing around doesn't help anyone, and you come across the same.

The problem is these days no one is willing to speak what they think but rather tell people what they want to hear.

You do and its quite refreshing. I am like you and like to tell it like it is. If people don't like it then they shouldnt ask a question in the first place if they dont occasionally want to hear the truth or something that isnt sugar coated.

Be straight up and speak your mind.Dont change for anyone or man this forum could end up boring

Yep I agree with Sheena. When I first 'met' you on here I used to get really pissed off with some of your responses but then I met you IRL and thought you were lovely. Plus anyone who shaves their head for cancer can't really be all bad

Now I don't know whether I've gotten more b*tchy, or whether I just understand you more than I used to and am used to the way you post but generally I agree with the sentiments although not always the directness.

ETA: Sorry I don't mean to imply that you are a b*tch. I just can't think how to word this right.

hmmm yes...   deleting isnt something i am fond of and had said to my husband when i posted it that i would delete what i had said if the prev comment was deleted too...    that was something i thought long and hard about posting and debated with myself about PMing... but sometimes i think if a person thinks they may not like my PM it is too easy to not read it and the info may have been lost completely.   Glad you brought that up! Thanks...

I have to admit that when I first joined the site I was totally scared of you (Possibly one of the reasons I took so long to stop lurking) I mean I was shy and timid, and you seemed so confident, and just so much older and wiser.

I also agree with the others who said when they met you in person that you were just SO lovely!

I must admit I was a little scared to begin with, but after meeting you in person and seeing your two gorgeous boys I realised that you are who you are!   You're a great mum, full of knowledge, experience and guts!

This place wouldn't be the same without you.

Posted By: SMoody
Date Posted: 06 February 2010 at 5:04pm
I think that you say what is on your mind. And it is difficult on a forum sometimes to judge the intent of the person and you can be a bit short and blunt and others think that you are a bit mean with your opinion where you just say it how it is (FOR YOU).

I dont always 100% agree with what you say and that is fine but I know you are one of a few people here that you will get a straightforward answer from without all the political correct ways of saying things ect.

In real life you are totally different. So I think you are one of those people that people have to meet in person and see that you are who you are and you are actually a very big softie and that you have a strong opinion but not necessary for everyone to think the same as you.

Can I just say, I don't get why people say you're totally different in person? You're not that different..it's not like you're a monster here and meek little maiden IRL haha. Nope I think it has more to do with body language. You cant read body language on here and even the emoticons can be misread sometimes as well. But in person you can see how that person react when they say something and you can see their intent. So you are definately not a monster and never ever will be a meek little maiden Bizzy.

I'd imagine you and Nigel Latta would get on well, it does seem parenting is all very pc and Bizzy you are very much not politically-correct which is what this place needs from time to time.
I have never seen you be nasty or personal with people, you have however always offered constructive feedback.

For myself however this is also the reason, I never ask for opinion or advice in the general thread.   I go to the planning girls as they're a lot kinder.

Really like you in person, as you know. We are veeeeeeeeeery different but I appreciate that. I was thinking the other day that you are a little like the Oh! Baby police woman...if you sniff out something wrong / debate-worthy you are in there in a flash.

Sometimes I don't agree with the bluntness or the speed at which conclusions appear drawn but I appreciate the fact that you obviously care enough about people and topics to think about them and spend time replying. I get the sense you only want people to uncover what is best and right (so subjective unfortunately). Occassionally it appears as though you simply enjoy debate and hence seek it out but that is probably not the case.

So - did I do a good job of taking my usual position...on the fence LOL! The world needs activist and pacifists...sadly they both get misunderstood at times..who can say whether it is the speaker or the receiver who is at fault on those occassions...probably both.

Yes they may be your opinion and there is nothing wrong with that...but less is more sometimes. You scared the sh*t out of me when I was a newbie...I wouldnt post on a thread once you had commented.

Its good you speak your mind and most of your comments make sense and are just calling a spade a spade, but sometimes...just sometimes its best to say nothing at all    (for cuppatea ..its actually a sheepish, shrugs shoulders kinda smiley...that says "dont hit me")

Have always looked up to you and highly valued your opinions and passion for breastfeeding your children, something I too am very passionate about!

I am however wondering what I did/said wrong to not have you on my facebook friends list, I did recently start a new page so can't recall if i had added you over or not ...but when I went to go on your page and saw it said 'add friend' I was a bit miffed that maybe i'd pissed you off? Excuse me if my memory is so bad and that i hadn't got around to adding you, i still have to gather all my old FB friends from my other profile page....

Anyhoo that said, OB wouldn't be itself without ya and i like that you don't hold back, I personally couldn't give two hoots about what anyone thought of me on here, I do my damn best to give my son a wonderful upbringing considering our situation and I think i've managed to do a pretty damn good job (and I heart being on my own, so much more than being in a relationship) - at the end of the day we all have diff approaches to parenting, some more realistic and very different from others but that's what makes us all unique.

I like what you say, and the majority of the time I agree with it. I like that you say it bluntly, because even though some people take offence, it is plain english and is harder to misconstrue.

But I also sometimes think..."uh oh" when I see you've replied on a heated topic

And I know you're normal...I went to an OB meetup in Auckland I think it was, a fair few years ago now, and I think it was Toby? who decided to go exploring....plus you've never been cruel to me in fact you've been rather nice!

Yeah I think you are Bizzy

OK, you irritate me, I don't agree with most of what you say and sometimes I wonder if you do it just for kicks..

So pretty much, I love reading your posts and really enjoy you around here Keep it up!

Bizzy, I love that you say exactly what you think, and dont pansy around about anything. Forums always need a good honest person to tell it like it is (in your eyes anyway hehe) and respond with what alot of people are probably thinking but are too afraid of confrontation to say (im guilty of that one!!!)

on the other hand you can be a little scary sometimes.......

keep up the entertaining honesty!!
