Just wondering if anyone has ever used a company who cook you meals & deliver them to your door?

My neighbour & I are navy wives with absent husbands, 2 young kiddies & no family in Auckland so we're looking at ways to make life a bit easier for ourselves. I am sick of having stuff all time to myself in the evenings by the time the dishes are done, the washing folded etc. A few meals in the freezer would be a god-send.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Should have said, we're on the North Shore.

I did a couple of sessions with my old work at a place called Sliced and Diced- we went there and prepared our meals and then took them home to put in the freezer. you do need to cook them at home through, but all the hard work is done. If you go there and do it, everything is laid out so its really easy to do; otherwise I am pretty sure for an extra charge they will make them up for you and deliver them.

The meals were really yummy and their menus changes monthly (I think?) so there is always something new and you have plenty of choices. Also works out roughly around 15-20$ per meal (if you make all the meals in 1/2 portions which is plenty for a small family).

They have a shop in Albany on Triton. here's their website if you wanted to check them out  http://www.slicedanddiced.co.nz/ - http://www.slicedanddiced.co.nz/

I've bought Watties snack meals before and they are quite nice and pretty cheap. If you are only feeding yourself and a toddler you might be able share a main meal. There are lots of precooked meals in the freezer section. Otherwise you could cook in bulk stews/casseroles/bolognese etc and freeze little meal sized portions.
