I heard a reasonably accurate rumour that new mum Jax and cute little baby Erin would be coming home today - so thought I should put a welcome note up for them.

Welcome Home Lady Birds!!!!!

Well done with everything Jax and look forward to seeing you online with an update when you're up to it.

If three of us have heard that rumour, does that make it fact?

Welcome home Mummy and Daughter!

I think that definitely makes it a fact. Should the three of us think of something else that we can make into fact? How about the 'rumour' that I'll win PowerBall this weekend? (Really should buy a ticket to validate that one, but we can try the three thing)

Can we strike a deal...I'll have Big Wednesday, and you can have Powerball? Now, we just need that third person to confirm it for us....

Hi girls,

We arrived home safe and sound a bit earlier this afternoon. Erin is perfect, Daddy is great, and so is mum - but a bit exhausted. Will update more later when perhaps not feeling like such a zombie.

LOL The cats aren't really too interested anymore - I think they are actually a bit afraid of her ! They're not aggressive or anything, just a bit hesitant - although I do have to stop myself from giggling when I see the startled look on their faces from some of the noises she makes

lol CUTE! Our cat has started spraying Apparently hes just started doing it because hes getting territoral over the baby comeing...but I dont even know how he knows one is But its so annoying! Im trying to get a community services card to get him fixed cheaper but thats proving to be a pain and I dont even know if it will solve the problem but was told it would!! Im scared he's going to spray all over the babys stuff so have the nursery shut all the time but can't keep doing that!!

You don't need a community services card to get him fixed cheaper, I would suggest you just go straight to the SPCA and explain to them - they do them for less than regular vet clinics (I volunteered here in Auckland for two years). Male cats will spray and be more aggressive if they're not fixed, and there's virtually nothing you can do to stop the problem short of getting them the snip - well, nothing that is really effective in the long term anyway. Good luck !

we found our cat Joey used to go and sleep all over Paris's stuff when i was preg, i'd find him all sorts of places, oncei found him in her cot and that was it, he was oiut! i took to havinga small water spray bottle and each time he went in there i gave hima small spray - not to drench just to scare him away and he eventualy got the hang of things. I think it freaked me out cos he's a bit of a dunce cat and would probably have just curled up and gone to sleep if he'd jumped in there and there was a baby in there too... which argh, i definately didn't want.

He now stays outside, cos the kids either completely terrorize him when he's inside, despite being told not to! or he goes and hides up in the bedrooms without us knowing, once he hid in Paris's room and when she had gone to bed that night he jumped on her bed just as she was drifting off to sleep - she got a hell of a fright.
