I live on the West Coast and need to go to Nelson to look at buggies - there don't seem to be a whole pile of stores? I am probably wanting a Mountain Buggy or maybe a Jolly Jumper but can't find a retailer in Nelson. Am I missing a nice independent retailer?

They have Baby City in Nelson City, it's in Postie Plus (Bridge St/Buxton carpark). Also there's good old Farmers in Nelson and Richmond. That's all I can think of that sell buggies at the moment (I think Baby City sell the Jolly Jumpers), but it's been quite some time since I've been looking for baby gear there.

Smith's city in Nelson, and there is a baby on the move- its at a lady's house so best to look at the website for contact details. Baby city has the best range- Farmers only stock about half a dozen models up here and they are pretty gay. Your best bet is to research on the net what you want, where you want it from them head over to CHCH as there is much more range over there. Also trade me is great for picking up a decent second hand buggy, lots of people decide to have a 2nd and have to upgrade. Good luck

Mmm, that's what I thought! Not much then. My aim was trade me so I wanted to try a few first for feel before bidding. Chch is a long way...seems bloody ridiculous, coming from the UK, to need to drive 5 hrs to look for a buggy!

5 hours to chch? Who told you that? It should only take you 4 at the very most! And thats driving a truck over! Its about 3 1/2 to 4 up to Nelson and about the same to Chch. And yes living on the coast is gay- I just moved back up from there in December. The choices are so limited, im so glad we moved! It must be a shock coming from the UK!

There really is a limited range in Nelson! I found it so hard to find anything there, as everyone else has said there is baby city and farmers, the farmers in nelson has more of a range than the one in richmond.
The lady from baby on the move is REALLY helpfull you can try them all out, see if they fit into your car etc too, they do car seats too. she was excellent at our antenatal clasees
Trade me is great however you can't check if the pram will fit into your car before hand !
