Can someone help me please? I have been taking movies on my digital camera and want to put them on CD or DVD so that they can be played back on the TV/DVD player. What is the best way to do this? Do I need a particular programme on my computer?
TIA

If you already have a DVD burner built into your computer, then the software "should" be there as well. As for playing back onto your tv, that depends on whether or not you have a DVD player that has the ability to playback the format of your movie files.
What do you know about the equipment you have?

Not much ! We have a Sony DVD player/recorder and the computer has a CD/DVD writer.
So it is more about the equipment used to play the CD or DVD rather than the software used to write it to the CD/DVD? I have some recent photos and movies from my camera that I wanted to put on disc to give to family members, I would have preferred it if they could play them on their DVD players rather than their computers

If you have a DVD writer then that's good, because then you "should" have software that came with it that allows you to burn a DVD disc which can be played on any DVD player.
If you only had a CD writer then the format the files are saved into would only be viewable on a DVD player that plays certain types of files.. (that's the only reason I asked about equipment)
