Anyone here a payroll guru??

I really need some help with my pay and leave entitlements. From what I can see I have not accumulated any leave since the 28th of October last year.

If you can help PM your email address to me and I will forward what I have been sent to you to work out.

On the average 20 days holiday per year, you should accrue .38 of a day per week .. I cant see how a payroll system would not have the accruals happening automatically.

Has anyone helped you yet?

I'll have a look if nobody else has offered, but like lilfatty said, I'd be amazed if someone like the defence force (I think that's who you work for?) doesn't have it set up to happen automatically.

The defence force in notorious for stuffing up peoples pays, if you haven't got it sorted I can take a look if summer lamb hasn't helped already.

Unless you have taken leave in advance, hence you have none left? I'm happy to take a look too if you want another opinion, I have worked on a number of payrolls.

ETA: it also depends on what payroll software they are using because some separate out annual leave and holiday pay and it may just be that both aren't showing on your payslip. MYOB for example differentiates between the two (HP = what you are accruing in this 12 mth period since your anniversary date. AL = what is owing from past years)

Well there you go! I've had no experience with them whatsoever but you would have thought an organisation like that would have it sorted!

You accrue 8% of your earnings as holiday pay. Some payroll systems will roughly calculate them into days accrued leave and list them on your payslip as 'accrued leave' which is different to 'outstanding leave'. I will pm you my email address and can check your payslip if you like. Could you please also have your start date and employment agreement on hand in case your holiday pay is 'pay as you go'.
