Hi,
Over the last couple of months, I seem to have been really emotional - mainly very teary, not all the time, but quite a lot.
I just feel down - my dh is a super positive person and doesn't really get this, plus he's a man so if I say I just feel a bit off he obviously wants to find a solution.
I can't pin point anything particular just feel a bit lost - this morning was a good example, had a rough night with DS, not that bad really he was up for an hour or so nothing very extreme and he's teething, but i'm not at work today so its no big deal and I just couldn't stop crying and I have no idea why.
I feel really highly strung - which I don't think makes me a lot of fun to live with. The easiest way to describe it I just don't feel relaxed at all at any time, I just feel on edge.
Confused - any thoughts/hints/tips/suggestions.
(definately not pregnant, AF ruled that out this week)

Thats no good do you have other things going on such as at work that may be impacting on your feelings? If you r working hard out of the home as well as at home that may be making you feel a little run down and more teary?

Awww Hugs!
My suggestion is try taking Omega 3 Fish Oil tablets.
I take them as I can get quite highly strung and I find they just help to clear my mind and give me some clarity and space to sort things out. I take 6 tablets a day, but you need to build up to this slowly. Start at 2 or 3 a day and increase by 1 tablet each week until you get to 6. Both of my counsellors suggested this for me and it's worked wonders and when I stop taking them or run out...I go downhill again.
Hope you feel better soon, whatever you do.

Fiona... maybe you are low on your Vitamin B levels or it could be hormonal... I know that elevated prolactin can make one feel on edge all the time... you can ask your GP to do a test for both ...

I think you need some you time. It gets to you after awhile juggling being a mum, working, running a house & being a wife. Take time for you & do something that picks you up, maybe a hair cut, get your nails done, new make up
Also look at what you are eating there maybe something in your diet that is lacking or makes you feel a bid down.
Be kind to yourself.

Fi did you end up getting some tests done at the docs? Like iron, thyroid etc? It just sounds like what I was like with an underactive thyroid, really on edge, strung out, tearful. But also maybe you are just expecting to much of yourself given that you have been sick., have a tough work situation etc. My dh is a little the same, seems to have less sleep than me but just keeps going and not get grumpy! So comparing ourselves to dh's is not really comparing apples with apples if you get what I mean!
