Particularly for those with irregular cycles, would you test based on the DPO or would you wait till AF was meant to arrive (whenever that was). I'm 13 DPO (OV on day 17) but my last cycle was 60 days. I'm not planning to wait that long to test.
Babyhopes.com says ...
A common misconception is that implantion occurs 7 days after conception, but the research findings showed that first appearance of HCG (implantation) occurred 6-12 days after ovulation, with 84% of the pregnancies implanting on days 8-10 after ovulation.
I read this to mean that if you test on DPO, rather than waiting till AF is due, you can still get an accurate result.

Unless I have a gut feeling that I might be preg (and it has to be a really strong gut feeling) I wait til 14DPO, if I dont have that feeling I wait longer

I started testing from 8DPO, implantation happened 10DPO, BFNs up to and inc 13DPO, real faint BFP on 14DPO... I had irregular cycles after my MC, but was charting so knew when I oved
If you know exactly when you oved and cant wait, I wouldnt test before 8DPO (so long as you can handle the BFNs, its not for everyone) but know many charting girls have had BFPs on 9DPO onwards (And a couple at 8)...
No harm in waiting till AF is late though... Although I cant see myself waiting till CD60 just to test!

Yeah, sod waiting that long. Specially when I'm nauseous and tired - want to know if it's cos it's in my head or if there's a reason for it. Just don't know if I could bear with the BFNs. Might buy a 3 pack and test tomorrow (14DPO).

I'm waiting till AF is late, mostly cause at $20 for a HPT can't afford to be testing heaps, and getting a BFN cause I've tested too early would be heart breaking.

My cycle can be anywhere between 26 and 32 days so the earliest I would test would be day 33 if AF still hasn't arrived but then I'm never 100% sure of when I ov. If you are 14DPO tomorrow I would say go for it! Good luck

discover are $20 ... but if your 14dpo I'd just use First Response Dip Strips, they're much cheaper... not quickcards they suck!

Not a BFP exactly but not a BFN. Just need to work out if it's an evap line or not.

Trust me, it's so faint it wouldn't show. I almost think it's in my head! That's why I think it's an evap.

Mine was like that to start with when I was preg with lil miss - I took the test apart to make sure the line was really there lol (or was that just utter disbelief )
