Hey there,

Just wondering if anyone else's bubs have this? Bubs at 19 week scan measured all average for growth etc but then at 30 week midwife check seemed small so we went for a growth scan, which also confirmed this. Bubs' body circumference had dropped from the 50% line to just below the 5% line, 2 weeks later we're back at 10% phew!

Part time work for me next 2 weeks then we'll see - just wondering how everyone else is going! :)

Kim

my first was an IUGR baby, she was 2.4kgs born or 5lbs 4 oz...and they didnt know why

my second was 2.8kgs, or 5lbs 8oz and nothing was ever said.

I would rest up and try not to stress (easier said than done), and good luck

IUGR inter uterine growth retardation

Lovely name yah.

I also ment to say that Rhiannon stopped growing at 35wks (thats the size she was born), and Cory was a 36wk sizer maybe.

Jake was, but he caught up by 38 weeks... and his weight was spot on for gestational age at birth so it was a lot of stress about nothing in the end for us.. though the rate he was growing towards the end I am glad he came early...

My first born was IUGR (I was told that they usually just call these babies "small for dates" now because it sounds better that "retardation") anyway, my first baby was born at 36wks because she was measuring small and between 35wks and 36wks she didn't grow at all. She was 2.34kgs born (about 5lbs1oz-ish?) bigger than they estimated in the scan.

Second daughter was average size at full term

With no.3 I measured the same size at 32weeks as I did with no.1 when they first decided she was small, will be interesting to find out whats going on at 34wks

Aoife was IUGR and had reduced fluid in her sac. They found it at 28 weeks and after that i was on weekly scans until 35 weeks when they decided they were better out than in.

After my 28 week scan I reduced my hours and worked from home. I found rest helped.

Aoife was 3lbs 10oz (1.64kgs) and Eimear was 5lbs (2.25kgs). Eimear was the baby that needed more assistance when born as What with Aoife having to fight that little bit more in the womb she was more prepared to be evicted

Also Aoife is now both taller and heavier than her twin sister. I still think of her as my little one though
