Help!! We've had an accident with our steraliser and it's ruined.. we need to steralise our tommee tippee bottles, teats etc. asap
I know you can boil for 5 mins to become steralised but can you boil these plastic bottles?? Sounds like a stupid question but I don't want them to melt.. if I wreck these too then we're really stuffed!
I'll go and buy another steraliser tomorrow but for now we just need to get these done.
HELP!

Hi,
I'd probably boil up the water and put into a clean tupperware container and put the bottles into this. Do you have any Milton tablets? Most supermarkets have them if you can get to one and its quite easy to boil up water (for memory you use cooled boiled water) add milton tablet and leave soaking.

I'm pretty sure you can as it would be no different to the heat in the steriliser. Maybe start with one so you can use that straight away?

Thanks so much, good idea.. we'll start with one and see how that goes.
I'll get DH to run out and grab some of those milton tablets.
GRRRR I'm so annoyed with myself for wrecking it

The Miltons are a good idea as a back up and great to take away if you don't have access to a microwave.

Yes you can boil up plastic bottles & teats in a pot. I did this when we were travelling overseas and I didn't want to take my steriliser. I just put them all in a big pot and boiled them for 5 minutes. Extremely easy and quick with no chemicals.

yep, boiling the bottles is fine - I did it for about 3 weeks until my Mum took pity on me and bought us a microwave sterilizer (thank goodness!!)
