WHAT DO I DO?
I'm not one to over dramatise or take the boys to the Dr. for no reason but Eli (1 1/2yrs) just crys and cry and crys and I can't stop it - well I probably can if I just walk him in the pram for the rest of his life. Is this just normal terrible twos stuff or should I be worried? The last 3 or 4 days he's cried more than not when awake - eats, drinks and sleeps fine - what to do, what to do????? ------------- 3yr old gorgeous ID twin boys. |

is there something that sets off the crying? you could try a shot of pamol in case he is in pain somewhere. or just spend the day cuddling on the couch together and see if that helps improve his mood. sometimes if they arent feeling well they cant really tell youexcept by being sad... ------------- http://www.myfitnesspal.com/weight-loss-ticker">

Nothing sets him off and he's already Pamoled up. He won't accept my cuddles either and not even his 'bedtime' teddy isn't soothing him.
I just rang the healthline and they recommended to see the Dr. since he's been crying non stop for more than an hour so off to make an appointment - just feel stupid because straight away when he goes in the pram he'll quieten down and there arn't any other symptoms so at the Dr's he'll probably be fine. Oh the fun life of toddlerhood. ------------- 3yr old gorgeous ID twin boys. |

Hmmm sounds like something is wrong to me, all day grizzling is one thing but crying and not being able to soothe sounds more like pain. Molars? I would go to the Dr, the best/worst thing they can say is there is nothing wrong. keep us posted - hope he comes right soon!! -------------

Well, I finally got him to stop a few hours ago so haven't rung the Dr's - I just feel like it would be a waste of time - just imagine the conversation... "is he eating, drinking, sleeping - answer= Yes ... Dr: well, ummmm it's probably teething but see how he goes tomorrow..." I don't know really, I went for a LONG walk and they are now fast asleep so xfingers when they wake it will be happier times. Jacob's a happy munchkin though (mostly) so that's good. I'm usually so relaxed re. them being sick or unhappy because usually it's just a pain to keep them happy if they just want you to hold them IYKWIM but this time he wouldn't stop crying no matter what I did - even a visit onto the roadside to watch cars go past didn't work! I will see how he is this afternoon and tomorrow and if he's still a terror I'll take him to the Dr's. I'm sick of visiting the Dr's/Hospital's at the moment which probably isn't helping my decision. ------------- 3yr old gorgeous ID twin boys. |

I know it gets annoying going to Dr but it is worth it just to rule everything out and know that it will pass.
Our Dr is usually pretty good and regardless of symptoms checks Finley over fully anyway, just to be sure and to reassure a paranoid mother - hopefully he feels better tomorrow. -------------

Thanks, yeh our Dr. is great but it's more me feeling like an overprotected mother when there arn't any 'proper' symptoms to go by.
Luckily he was a happy munchkin this afternoon and DH took over the duties at 5pm as I needed the break. ------------- 3yr old gorgeous ID twin boys. |

Crying heaps can be a symptom, he might have an ear infection or sore throat or something. If you think he is more unhappy than usual I would go to the Dr and get his ears and throat checked just in case. If they are okay then maybe he is teething or something, but better to have it checked out.
