i got this from an american forum (earlier in the year...)
With ANYTHING if there's any kind of burning, itching, irritation. tenderness or foul odor (esp after intercourse) then please call your doctor and talk to them, this applies with ALL kinds of discharge !!!
Clear - anytime you have clear discharge it's perfectly acceptable and normal and provides nothing to worry about
Yellow - Yellow discharge CAN also be normal but is most likely a symptom of some sort of infection. Chlamydia being one, Trichomoniasis being another. Trichomoniasis and Chlamydia are both treated with an antibotic pill and it's necessary to get the treatment so as to avoid passing the infection onto your unborn baby. Yellow discharge is also normal because there is a small amount of bacteria present in the healthy vagina that mix with discarded cells and mucus-like tissues and go down the vagina to appear on the underwear. this is normal in women of childbearing age provided there is no odor.
Pink - Pink discharge is quite normal in alot of women for alot of reasons. before and after menstration. During pregnancy when implantation occurs. Also do so some slight damage to the cerxiv during intercourse or during a routine OB/GYN exam. During the second and 3rd trimesters a pink discharge may occur for the same reason, also sometimes the uterine walls shed a few cells for no apparent reasons and a pink discharge occurs. There is nothing to worry about unless it turns bright red.
Red - Menstration is red. showing bright red blood during pregnancy MAY be a sign of miscarriage, however during later trimesters is may also indicate a small tear in the placenta or the placenta detaching a slight amount from the uterine wall. Contact your doctor should you EVER have bright red blood (a few drops is ok) while pregnant.
Green-Yellow - A discharge, green vaginal yellow, may indicate lichen sclerosus or a HPV infection that causes a vaginal wart.Changes in the amount and color of the flow may indicate an infection caused by harmful bacteria or transmitted during a sexual intercourse. Bacterial vaginosis, gonorrhoea, and other infections are common and are not dangerous on the condition they receive immediate medical response.
Milky - A milky discharge can be quite normal for some women, however in others it's a sign of a vaginal infection (such as a yeast infection) and may require antibotics. Again if there's any change, any odor or pain then please talk to your doctor.
Brown - a brown discharge occurs before and/or after menstration in most women. Brown blood is old blood and can be left over from implantation, menstration or slight internal injury (see Pink) such as sex or an OB/GYN exam. Late in pregnancy it MAY be a sign of impending birth.
Green - This is an indication of an infection, could cause a miscarriage and needs to be treated IMMEDIATLY. Nuff said
Creamy White - A normal, thin consistency is most likely normal in you as a woman. hormonal changes as well as emotional ups and downs can cause a white discharge.a thick, clumpy, discharge is the most usual sign of a yeast infection.

because i "borrowed" it from another source, i dont know how accurate it is so dont take it TOO seriously just in case its false info, but if you do have concerns talk to your midwife.
