I woke up this morning bleeding. Blimmin marvellous. I knew that the babies were both OK coz they were leaping around like mad in there, but it was still pretty scary thinking it could be a sign of premature (veeeeery premature) labour. So I rang my midwife and ended up meeting my OB at the hospital. One very yucky internal later, and a CTG which showed one baby has a beautiful heartrate and the other is a witch that won't keep still long enough to be monitored, and I was allowed to go home. The OB can't see any cause for the bleeding, and it seems to have stopped, but I have been ordered onto bedrest, and given a lecure about slowing down.

No lecture required tho - this has given me the fright of my life, and I plan to be the best, most rested patient in the history of the universe until these babies get here.

Oh, and Willie is so sweet (and so mad with me!) - I rang him at work to tell him I was bleeding but not to come home coz Mum is here and she could take me to the hospital, and then when I got home I was just about to ring and tell him all was OK when he rang and he sounded so relieved - but not very happy that I hadn't called him first coz he was worried sick!

Thanks everyone

Willie has been awesome, he bathed Maya and got her off to bed which was great because she is the master procrastinator, and I just got to do the fun stuff like bedtime stories. About to head off to bed now to get some rest. I really, really don't want to spend the next few months with my bubs in NICU so the longer I can keep them in the better.

That would be sooo scary! make sure you keep resting Emma, having babies in nicu aswell as a toddler can be really hard, specially when they dont really allow children under 12 in there and its horrible leaving your babies at the hospital.
Stay where you are babies! Have they told you what size the babies are at this stage?

At the last scan they were just unde 700g each, that was 2 weeks ago, they will give me another growth estimate on Tues at my next scan.

LOL at Willie, he is so sweet, he made my friend take me to Countdown to do the shopping so it wasn't so stressful for me. I felt a bit ridiculous, but it's so nice that he cares.
