Which works best for you sized nappies or one size fits all?

Which size did you start with?
Were small's ok for newborns how old were they when they went into mediums?

Would like to start purchasing my nappy stash while I'm still working, will grab a box of huggies newborns for the first week, when they run out would like to go straight into MCNs.

I found OSFA huge on Lauren when she was a newborn - around 3 mths we went onto medium Itti's and now at almost 6mths we use Gro Baby OSFA and they are fantastic - not too bulky and incredibly reliable

I haven't tried any OSFA but my little girl had skinny legs and was too small even for small's (itti's, fuzzi bunz, pea pods and super brite covers with pre-folds) until she was about 4-6 weeks old, so I don't think she'd have even remotely fitted OSFA's.  It'll probably depend on the shape of your baby, so maybe buy a few different sorts then when you get an idea of what works then you can spend some more on those.

Hmm Taylor has been in OSFA since about 4 weeks, she was 2.5kg when born so not hugely big when she went in them. I guess she must have had the right shape, as we never had issues with leakage etc.
I think if you can find a great OSFA for you then go for it, seems a waste to keep buying new sizes, or to be using sposies while you wait for bubs to grow into the size you've bought

I broke the rules and ordered without trying for this baby. With Hollie we were late cloth starters and it wasn't until about 7 months that we began, so she went straight into yoyo osfas. I have a trademe osfa, a large itti, a couple of ecobubs large for nights and a large homemade pocket. all up she's got around 20 napies

I've bypassed the smalls for this baby, and nearly finished paying off a med itti bakers doz. I think with that, a few med pockets and Hollie's osfas being able to be used for both kids, we should be sweet.

Going purely on Hollie's weights, which is a gamble I know, this baby should be in the med by 4/5 months I think.

Can you layby itti bittis? I didn't know that, that would be a great way of getting my nappy stash started as the cost of the whole thing is more than I can afford.
Where did you get yours from?

3x Itti Bittis
2x baby first

If you want to buy them once Ive finished with them you can? they are all in a rotation of about 30

Esme went into medium ittis at about 4 months but is still in small fuzzis, and pea pods. I use my baby OSFA as well and find them great I prefur them over peapods and real nappies. She would have started wearing them at about 8 weeks from memory and she is still on the smallest snap setting at 5 months. We got a few leaks to start with and they were pretty bulky but now she's bigger they are no bulkier than peapods and we only get leaks when DP puts them on and doesn't check the legs In saying that I am currently saving up for a baker doz on med ittis.

Not sure if it's worked for others but I've found baby birth weight pretty genetic to our families. Both DH & I were smaller skinner babys & so are our kids. On my side skinny babys go way back so I had a good idea of what weight my bubs would come out at.

Maybe just an idea to look into if you are looking at buying in advance?

Also can you get the ohbaby hire kit?

Caliandjack I organised mine through www.mothersintstinct.co.nz.
She had a special on at the time, and despite me doing it via layby I still qualified for that She was also very flexible about how I wanted to pay, and her communication was excellent.

I've organised to get the OB hire kit, its more that I'd like to start getting some while I'm still working. Money will be a bit scarce once I finish work.

Thanks flake I'll check out her website.
