Over the past 3 or so weeks Ella has been getting increasingly clingyier and clingyier (sp?). She used to be happy to be dropped off at daycare but now as soon as we get through the door she just grabs onto my leg and won't let go...not even to give her fav teacher a cuddle. I realise this is probably due to the new baby being due any day now and her feeling a bit unsettled and that it will probably continue after the baby arrives.

BUT was just wondering if anyone elses toddler went through this phase and how long it lasted.

DD1 was exactly the same with me - I was still going to the yoga classes 2-3 mornings a week (at Glenfield) and would drop her off at creche but have one hell of a time leaving... when previously she'd take off to play / paint and not bat an eyelid!

I promise it passes, we started kindy for DD1 when DD2 was six days old and after the first 2-3 weeks she was fine... so maybe 6-8 weeks of clinginess overall.
