Are you looking at getting a station wagon or a Mum-bus?
We've got a MPV it's a 2-2-3 seating arrangment and can fit the mountain buggy in the boot with no problems... also all the other stuff that one needs when transporting children.
I have #3 sitting behind me, then #1 behind the passenger (that seat slides so you can have it joined together or as two separate seats). #2 is in the back. The bonus is you have the sliding doors, so you can jump in with the kids if it's raining do the car seat up then climb thru to the front easy peasy.
Before the MPV we had a Caldina Station Wagon, loved that car.. unfortunately it wasn't suitable for a nearly 6ft 2' 14yr old

We're getting a Toyota Regius 7 or 8 seater, with both carseats in the middle row (all rows of seats slide). I'm the same as Mel with the walk through to the front - make life so much easier, especially if it's just for a dummy!!! The MB will fit in the boot space with no problems whatsoever as well. DH refused to look at a petrol vehicle as we needed it for towing as well. We test drove one and also a Nissan Elgrand, and the Toyota was soooooo good!!

Are there any 4 seater SW out there still? I hate people movers with a passion - terrible things on rural roads, but do quite like the idea of fitting 4 kids in the car...

Me too T_rex.
we'll need something else before we even think about number 3 cause we wont fit 3 car seats across our back seat.
I'm thinking either odessy or Mpv.

I just got given a nissan tino because family friends were moving overseas. It has 3seats in the front and three in the back with a big boot.

We have a odessy and i can fit a double mountain buggy in my boot. From memory i had to take the 2 back wheels off but thats just a click of a button. My single mountain buggy lays right down on the floor of the boot. So there is heaps of room.

Hmmm I had mentioned an Odessy to DP as family down south have one and apparently they are quite economical with the petrol?
Does anyone know how good the Previa (sp?) Toyota's are? The minivan ones... Do they have good boot space and seating? Our neighbours have one but they are rather anti social so can't ask them!

We also have a Mazda Mpv - I love it!
Mum and Sis have Oddesys they both like theirs.
The mazda is a bigger car though, ours is a 3l v6 so a little less ecconomical than the oddesys but personally we dont find it much of a problem. Great for towing ect.

We have a Previa. It's darn ugly but we love it
We could go away for a diving weekend with 2 x sets of dive gear, dbl stroller (not MB), 2 x portacots, and all the necessities and still have space.
Both the back and middle rows slide so you can adjust things to suit your needs.
Plus the sliding doors are great and with the amount of leg room I can get both girls in and out the same side.
