DS seems to have an itchy bum. He keeps screwing up his face and grabbing at his bum - itchy is the only thing I can think it could be. He doesn't even have nappy rash at the moment.

you need to a bit of a sleuth job and sneak in at night when he is asleep, pull down the nappy and shine a torch at his bottom. If it is worms they come out to investigate the light!

Is it the general area or ahhhh the specific ummm 'you know what' that he is scratching? DS gets dry / irritated skin on his bottom cheeks / between thighs and bottom etc and just needs a dose of heavy duty moisturiser to sooth the area - it never actually looks dry or sore but it obviously annoys him at times. -------------

He is at daycare, so I guess he could pick up worms.
I also tried a different brand of nappy this week, so I guess it could be that. I'm not sure about the specific area, and I'll take a closer look at his next poo (yay  )------------- http://lilypie.com"> http://lilypie.com">

Hahaha, yeap, they come out to lay eggs on nappies/knickers/sheets, then when the worm victim scratches they get eggs on their hands and spread them all around for other people to catch. Aren't they just delightful?
AND they can survive a cold wash 
(guess who got to study worms when they worked in a pharmacy) -------------

What do you give a baby for worms?

you can get worming tablets/suspension liquid or chocolate pieces from the chemist.
im not sure is they are applicable for an 8month old though |

the doc gave us some medicine for DD when she had them (she was about 14 months if i remember rightly) - they don't really look like worms - more like tiny little threads - they don't come out and smirk at you or anything too sinister ------------- |
