Anyone experienced it??

I usually use Carefree & have since forever but last AF I bought Libra, I remember that I had flu like symptoms & generally felt uncomfortable & then stopped using them, used a pad for a day & then went back to the carefree not a prob.

AF started yesterday & I used the Libra again just cause I didn't have the right sized Carefree, plus I'd forgotten. Over the day I felt worse & worse. Even to the point when I got in the car I thought I shouldn't drive cause my vision was going funny. On way home I recalled last month & thought hmm. Took panadol I'd bought & took out offending item when I got home & within half an hour I feel like normal, vision was smooth again, no tiredness, no aching.

Surely the panadol wouldn't have fixed all that. I wasn't sure if it was the tail the bug I had either until I felt better so fast.

Am going to go to the Dr to talk about it but just wondered other experiences.

Hasn't happened to me sorry.

But, perhaps you are reacting with something that is in the Libra tampons? I would have thought that if it was TSS you would still be pretty bad even after taking the tampon out and having panadol.

Good idea to get checked out though, doesn't sound very nice at all.

Interestingly I had a rash which I had put down to a soy challenge fail, but was it to do with the tampons at my last AF???

Yes though about a moon cup today.

It's either that TSS or an issue with a chemical used in that brand.

if you do have TSS you need to get to a doc asap!    a rash is one of the symptoms too.

If it's TSS generally you can't just take a day off from wearing a tampon then go back to them. My friend has it and can never use tampons at all. She used to get severe fevers and shakes with it.

It could be just something to do with your flow? Before having my 2 girls, I used to get really bad AF to the point that I would have vision problems (black splotches) as well as getting really hot flushes (almost sweating) and stomach pain! (Almost as bad as labour pain!)
It would only last about 1/2 day - and sometimes I would have to call in sick for work or go home and take panadol and try and sleep it off... maybe it could be something similar?

YES! I had it about 12 years ago.

I was spaced out, dizzy, felt like vomiting etc... and it was because I used a tampon - didn't have any pads at the time (TMI).. and that is what caused it.

Haven't touched tampons since!
