Just musing right now....but I was wondering about the physical logistics of nursing Clodagh when I have a huge belly lol.

How???  Rugby hold?

I still feed Lauren on my lap sometimes, but more often than not we lie down in bed for a feed. It's more comfortable.

Kali- does Lauren lie over your bump or kind of around it when she feeds on your lap? I still find it really hard to get a good latch without little teeth digging in when we're lying down is all

Ah, thats not much fun! Lauren lies around it, she's pretty long now (18 months old) so she has her bum on my lap and her legs around the bump. I think where there is a will theres a way, just have to try different things out til you find something that works Sometimes if she needs a really close cuddle while feeding she'll be on top of the bump though, it's not painful or uncomfortable. She's very much a child who likes to be ON mummy as much as possible lol

Good luck! Hope the first trimester symptoms are being kind to you - can be hard work being pregnant and looking after a little one as well.

What Cassie said We usually just feed lying down at bedtime too, but sometimes he still has a feed on my lap, and then he's very upright, pretty much sitting up. HTH

Great minds Karen! Have been wondering how I am going to do a lot of things in a couple of months time!

Weegee I know this will sound ridiculous but even though I know you are pg I cant imagine you with your bump.. when i picture you, you are bumpless LOL

Clodagh will happily sit on my lap and lift my top (her eyes alight with glee lol)...but again, the latch is not that great in that position although somewhat better than lying down in bed! I guess I just wondered if it will be logistically possible for her to lie on or around my bump, and if that would hurt the baby (I guess it won't).

nah baby will be fine. Lauren is always all over me lol I figure the baby will give her a good boot if it gets too squished, and if I feel uncomfortable I just move her a bit as she gets bigger hopefully her latch sitting on your lap will get better, then if you do find yourself getting uncomfortable you can resort to that. Good luck!
