Excuse my ignorance, but is there a way to cook porridge in the crockpot without having to put it in a bowl on a stand?
Can I just do it in the crockpot?? Oh and when can bubbies eat porridge? |

This might be a really stupid question, but why would you want to make porridge in a crockpot? .. It takes 90 seconds to cook rolled oats in a microwave 
Issy started eating oats quite young .. six months or so (she would eat ours), mine is made with water, DH makes his with milk. ------------- Mummy to Issy (3) and Elias (18 months) I did it .. 41 kgs gone! i dont have a microwave a do crockpot porridge. it means it is there for hubby when he gets up and some for when the kids get up too!

Try this recipe - makes enough for two: 1/2 cup coarse rolled oats 2 cups water pinch salt on low for 8 hours or overnight. You then put it in a bowl and then put the bowl into the slow cooker which has about 3cm of water in the bottom. It will seem to be reasonably runny when you get it out the pot, but thickens up on standing. ------------- Mr Mellow (16) Miss Attitude (8) Destructa Kid (3)
