Hello

A friend on my facebook said

doctor called.... Have three follicles! I guess we need to name the third little guy. Another ultrasound Friday morning.

What does this mean? I thought it meant that she had 3 babies implanted, but then I googled it and got confused!

No...not yet....but she does have that chance If each follicle releases and egg and each egg is fertilised then she will ...exciting to have that many chances though

Oh so does that mean she has three eggs about to pop open and then maybe get fertilised?

So maybe she is trying Clomid?

I am not close friends with her so it might be rude for me to ask her directly, but I would like to say something supportive and encouraging. I am worried that I will say the wrong thing though. That's why I think I will figure out where she is at on her journey without asking and then wish her luck.

You can never have too much luck!

with only 3 follicles I would say Clomid is what shes doing now, and if shes had to go on due to not ovulating it then I would imagine cxhances of triplets would be extremely slim.

Oh and your first sentence in that post is right, follicles rupture upon ovulation, releasing the egg to be fertilised.
