or all of a sudden, are Burger king, mcdonalds, pizza hut, subway etc ALL sending out heaps of junk mail with vouchers for deals? EG today I got one from Burger King with 10 different types of vouchers, and 3 of each type of voucher!
So we've now got 3 vouchers to get 1 cheeseburger and 1small fries for $2.50 + 9 other vouchers for different burgers/combos! WHY are they all of a sudden sending out heaps of these things? Everyones doing it!!! It's so so tempting! |

ohhh wheres mine!! I love those junk mails.......makes getting my kids maccas so much cheaper cos at the moment they never get it cos we cant afford it
I LOVE JUNK MAIL. its how i do all my shopping and xmas shopping. I go to the supermarket that has the most on my shopping list on sale and its also a good helper when writing my list to remind me what we need |

lol chickielou, same here!! FIL always bins anything that comes out of the mailbox unless its address to someone... I keep trying to beat him to the letterbox, those flyers are how I plan xmas/birthday shopping too, and like you, I do my groceries at whichever store has the most specials advertised from my shopping list!
Hmmm... if BK and the likes are sending out vouchers, I'd best be keeping a sharper eye on our letterbox for the next few days! ------------- Brandon - 05/12/2003

I love junk mail too lol. DH says I have a wee problem cos I get sooo grumpy when I find out he threw it out and I didn't get to read it!!!
We now have vouchers for Pizza hut, da vincis, subway, and burger king sitting here Plus I threw some out the other day that had expired!!!

For the BK ones it doesn't say its only for the burger king down here, I presumed it'd be nation wide! It only says on them not to be used at Auckland Airport burger king! Could be nasty. We live like 100m from Burger King and DH has a problem with them lol. My problem is KFC or maccas but luckily they aren't within sniffing distance

I live 15mins drive from the closest macca kfc or burger king so thats prob why we dont get them. but i dont get farmers catalogues either.......we just get what were given cos we are rural
DH loves the junk mail too so no ones throwing them out in this house |

I quite enjoy getting junk mail Living out the back of my parents for 4 years we never got any mail unless it was addressed stuff, so junk mail is still fairly new and exciting.
I too pull them out trying to plan gifts and stuff, and often will make special trips out when I know something I have been wanting for a while is on sale. We have had heaps of the junk food mailers in the past week and I did put them aside (everything else goes in the recycling... after I have read it of course, and as long as I have nothing circled for DH to see) even though we still cant afford them. -------------

I luuuuuurve junk mail, it is the bane of DH's existence LOL I also plan by shopping by them though, so if formula/nappies are on special somewhere, we stop there on the way to do normal groceries to get the ones that are cheaper. And for birthday pressies etc. I read everything. I also read the Warehouse ones cos it's good to know what's on special at work (although also very dangerous LOL) for when I am trying to help people.
We got the BK and KFC ones (those new burgers look yum but I'm always disappointed with the quality at our local one), and also Pizza Hut... |

Ooooh... I was watching the mailbox all evening... then FIL got home from work and picked up todays fliers off the ground... the blardy delivery person pushed them too far through the slot and they fell through the back so I couldnt see them!! someone needs to knuckle down on these DHs......dont they realise that its the little pleasures that keep us mums happy and if a couple of peices of mail keep us happy then hello..........of course im sure they are trying to stop spending

haha i love junk mail!!!!! and get mad if its thrown away before i look at it!
but have noticed all the extra fast food vochers lately! we do put them in the car tho and sometimes they come in handy!! othertimes they don't get used!! dp find them handy for work lunchs etc |
