Am just wondering if anyone else has used phenergan to help with sleep issues and how they found it (if it worked, how much you gave, how often you used it etc etc). We're working with plunket and our Dr at the moment on a sleep plan for Kaelin and just wanting to hear other peoples experiences with it. You can PM me if you like because I've already noticed mentioning it stirs people up

It does work well, but there is always the chance your babe will become reliant on it to sleep. The dose will depend on the age and size of your little girl and its best to take instruction form the GP on that one

Keep in mind that some children dont sleep, but become hyperactive from taking phenergan. There are a couple of different options in regards to meds though.

I had issues with my girl too and can honestly recommend looking at the sleep stores website and seeing what they have in the way of advice and non medicated advice

I havent used it on my child for sleep, but have seen it used many times through years in pharmacy with mixed results and a girlfriend has used it with pretty good success

Good luck sweet, lack of sleep with a babe that age is a killer

We found it brilliant for the first few nights with Emily, but then it was like she was bloody immune to it All babies are different like RJ said good luck with sorting a plan with your Gp and plunket.

we used it for our DD from a younger age if we were desperate for sleep - worked a treat first couple of times it didnt knock her out and it seemed to be a natural sleep - ie she still woke once through the night but that was better than the usual 6 - 8 times. but as shannon said after the first few times she started getting hyperactive and was up all night instead so hvnt used it again lol she is now 23 months and sleeps like a dream 2 hours during the day and 12 - 13 hours at night and has done since about 16 months. Good Luck lack of sleep really really sucks especially when you feel like you have tried everything
