Well I know bubs is getting big and stuff but I am starting to feel like I cant breathe properly sometimes when I sit down, esp if I have just eaten...
Not sure if there is anything I can do about this (except pace up and down while watching shortland street like I did last night) but just wanted to check that this is normal and not my asthma or something acting up in some wired, bottom of the lungs way - it doesnt feel like asthma it feels like I cant get the space to breathe but just wanted to check...?

I believe it is pretty normal to feel short of breath, I've had a few breathing issues but mine has been my asthma playing up a bit.

if it is a space issue will it ease off when baby drops?
And when does baby drop?

Yep i had that coz my bump was all baby and her butt was up in my ribs squashing my lungs. I found lying down on the couch helped instead of sitting

oh, and going up the stairs too quickly makes me feel like I've just run around the block, and if you do it whilst talking on the phone (major mistake, don't do it!)is like a marathon. Gotta say I often do things forgetting that I can't only to be reminded pretty quickly that yes I am now pregnant and also quite big!

I'm using my reliever lots more too - I'll use it several times a day then might go a couple of days without it...then another day of thinking A & E here I come! and funny enough if my asthma goes nuts it's at night too! So frustrating...

I am not quite at that stage yet but I have just come back from a walk and I almost killed myself... puffing and heaving. Not pretty...

But I do remember from last time feeling like the baby was taking up most of the space in my belly and that everything else (lungs) were squished up

I huff and puff all the time pretty much, and for the last week or so have been having wicked pains in my ribs which I think is everything moving out of the way for the bubs.

Paws and Jacks Mum I am the same - really have some bad days with my asthma lately. I have never been really good, but I can use my ventolin easily 5 - 6 times a day now!!! When I got flu at about 26 weeks they put me in hospital for 3 days not cos of teh flu but cos my asthma went beserk, and they gave me everything under the sun for the days before they hospitalised me to try and clear it and nothing helped! crazy!
ANyway while I was there they told me that ventolin prevents labour - I was amazed!!! I said to the doctor that I should probably think about swallowing some school books in that case cos I take so much ventolin that my kid isnt gonna come out till it is well into it's teens!!!
