well obviously its not ovulation pain but since this morning ive been getting a sharp stabbing pain on the right hand side that feels like a cross between OV and stitch. if i bend over the wrong pain it is really painful but just a dull stabbing with intermitant shooting pain when im not doing anything. im gonna take some panadol as its slowly getting worse but has anyone had this before or know what it may be? its definitly not stretching at all. i dont have a MW to ring and my OB can only be contacted via his surgery during work hours so my only option is to ring maternity who then contacts him but that seems really over the top to me so i thought id se if anyone knows anything more before i take that route.

Hey, I had a similar pain at 24wks, it lasted for about two days. I think it turned out to be a little leg (or other body part) shoved in my side

That probably wasn't very helpful but hope it doesn't last much longer for you

i know exactly where his legs and arms cos he has run out of room are and its not a nerve/labour/stretch type pain which is why im so puzzled. it feels exactly like the pain i used to get before swollen cysts would burst but seeing as im pregnant and not ovulating i have no idea what could be causing it. panadol seems to have eased it off for now though so hopefully its something random and goes away again :)

Is it in exactly the same place as the ovary pain was?

Contact your OB, they are your LMC so should be available at any time.. not just week days!

Also, your ovaries most likely aren't where they were when you weren't pregnant.

It sounds like round ligament pain to me, and possibly sciatica (the shooting pains bit). Quite common in pregnancy, especially in the last trimester - I'd consider seeing an osteopath at this stage, since physio would require more visits to get you the same kind of relief.

My OB isnt my LMC as such, his team is, which is the community MW team running through the hosp so ill call them if it comes back. ive had sciatica, RL pain etc.. but if noone has come across it before then it obviously isnt a big deal. Thanks for the help though :) ill keep an eye out

Hey I think I got a very similar pain at about the same stage as you, it lasted for a few hours then went away, I got it a couple more times before I had this baby and I've had it a few times since. A sharp achy pain on my right under my ribs, and radiating to my back. I found baths helped, heat packs and panadol. I wondered if it was gall stones because I know that they can be exacerbated during pregnancy, and it seems to match up to what I've googled. Otherwise I thought it could be just pre labour stuff, Sorry I can't be more help. Good luck for you birth
