Somehow while I was having my sleep in day yesterday banana ended up mashed into my suede boot, they are only cheapies from Number 1 shoes but still love them!!  Thankfully they are a darkish brown colour, I have wiped the banana off with a damp cloth but you can still see a dark patch where it was (about the size of a milk bottle top) I havent used anything other than water yet...any ideas of tips??

You could try dabbing at it with a little vinegar? Cornmeal cleans suede but it may lighten the colour.
The only other thing I can suggest is Hydrogen Peroxide and a firm brush.
