Is there anybody that had (good, I hope) experiences with Luise Brandt (Midwife Collective near Morningside Rd)? I contacted her to have an homebirth and I would like to have some more information...
Thank you :)

Luise was the back up midwife at my DDs birth at Birthcare (as in she was back up for my LMC and ended up being who I got on the day). She had total faith in my (small) body to produce my good sized baby and I was so grateful to her for giving me the benefit of the doubt. DD was born after a long push which must have had her a bit worried but I never knew at the time. I didn't need pain relief, stitches and DD had brilliant Apgars. I think if I'd had a different midwife I would have been transferred to Akld and probably ended up with an instrumental delivery.
Sorry that was a bit wordy but I think she did the best thing by me and my baby.

Thank you Jessiesmum, this is the best experience I could imagine. If she did so well with you, she is the person I was looking for.

I had Luise with my first pregnancy.
She was lovely! Really caring and on to it and always there when I had questions or worries, even though she was really, really busy.
Unfortunately I went into labour on her weekend off so her backup was there for my daughter's birth (luckily she was also absolutely wonderful!).
