hi ,
just wondering what your views and experiences are and the outcome of whether you have had a blastocyst or three day embie put back in, and what are your views on it. the more i read it seems you loose alot of embryos letting them go to blastocyst

The majority of ours were frozen at 3 days and had one implanted on day three as well. There were 3 more embryos that they left to go to blastocyst but they didn't end up being kept. We just went with what FA wanted to do with them.

We had a day 3 transfer as we didn't have enough eggs for them to be confident they would grow on to blasties.
My understanding (Someone correct me if I'm wrong) is that ideally it is considered 'better' to have a day 5 transfer with a blastocyst than a day 3 with an embryo.
In terms of 'losing' emryos, if they grew them on past day 3 in the dish and they didn't survive etc, I'm pretty sure that means that if they were in your uterus then they would have a very minimal chance of survival there also.
If they don't make it to Blastocyst stage in the dish the chances that they would have made it inside are fairly similar.
Hope that makes sense!?
I believe the sucess rates are higher in those who have a Day 5 Blastocyst transfer - FYI

Hey all! I think it depends on doctor to doctor.
In my cae we only had one egg fertilise, So, they did a day 2 transfer, as they felt it would have a better chance inside me than in the petri dish.
You seem to hear a lot of different schools of thought on it. :)
Good luck!
