Hi Robert, I see you posted in some of the other Dunedin midwives posts, while a good place to start, I think you'd be best off to ring Queen Mary and ask about being under the care of their team as I think you will struggle to find any midwives with spots free in September now.

Good Luck!!

Thankyou all....my partner is due in late September (we found out a few weeks ago.....believe it or not neither of us picked up on some of the less obvious changes until then ) so yes it's rather far in that I am seeking advice and help. Thankyou for the suggestion to go to Queen Mary - we have a GP appointment on Thursday so will discuss things with her too, and then see Queen Mary to be under their care which seems like it would be the best thing this far on in proceedings. However, my partner was away at the time she found out and has only just returned home so I am wanting to do all I possibly can to support her in this and get her engaged with all the help she needs, which is clearly beyond what I can provide! These are VERY exciting times......so thankyou to all who posted replies - much appreciated
Robert

Congrats!! I didn't officially find out until I was 8/9 weeks, all my friends were like how could you not know?!

Well when it's the last thing on your mind... haha

Hope you find a midwife, don't panic though as there will always be one, even if she/he ends up being a hospital midwife!
