My friend had an elective CS at NSH last month and she got her date about 2-3 weeks in advance. She was under a specialist, so not sure if that helped.

I might be having one at 39 weeks, but the final call will be made by the OB at 37 weeks , so will know for sure in 2 weeks time

I have a midwife as an LMC - but have had a section previously so OB is checking it out too

They will give you the date at your OB appt at 36ish weeks, they dont like to book to far in advance in case they need the spot for a more urgent case or something like that (well thats what I was told)... I will annoy them because I dont want to book a "backup" elective.. I dont want them giving me an "its too late now" date!

yeah well this one is my 3rd section and ive only had them at waitakere before,so my OB is at waitakere as well so will i get a referral to see an OB at northshore or will they just send me out a letter to confirm the date both my other sections have been done at 38 weeks but sounds like they doing it at 5 days before my due date this time which im really not happy about, as my OB put down wrong EDD and when i said thats wrong she said that its doesnt matter she also hasnt been very helpful and not explaining much to be bout anything and when i ask her a question she hardly answers me am fed up to say the least,so confused!! what do i do??

Friend of mine said she wasnt able to have it on the date they picked as her mother was having surgery, so they bought it forward a week, making her 38 weeks

If the call is made I must have a section Im going to push for 38 weeks too - so If you havent been by then I will let you know how it goes (appointment is 23rd)
