My little boy is 8 months old and he wont sleep in his own cot. He cries for ages as soon as I put him in there at night. As soon I as I put him in our bed he will go to sleep straight away. He will also sleep during the day in his cot. Just not at night. Does any one have any tips for me to get him out of our bed. This all started when he started teething. Before this he was a great sleeper.

Yep, unfortunately the only solution (well, the quickest tho probably most painful) is getting tough and just refusing to bring him into bed with you.

I periodically have to do this but now Han is in a bed she just comes in herself and somehow in my sleep I lift her into bed. Then I am woken by kicky little feet so have to truck her off back to her bed. (Only to be woken every 10 minutes for the next hour by little footsteps.)

Arghhhh.

Hey ladies I had this with Jaidyn and when he was about 9mths I decided to get hard with him. Had him all checked out with the doc first esp his ears then got into it. I think it took about 3 nights with the first night being the worst. I rember being in the louge at 2.30in the morngin just bawling while he screamed ( nad yes keegan shared a room with him and sleep thru the lot). It was hard and Lu it is really hard when you are on your own but stick to it if you can cos having your bed back is amazing but also I was much happier with Jaidyn as I was starting to resent him when he wouldnt sleep anywhere but with me

Kyla - Joey was doing exactly the same thing at 8 months until I had enough one night and let him cio. He took about 2 hours to settle and sleep he first night (I did go in every 10 minutes or so which might have prolonged it) the second night about 40 minutes and I think by the 4th or 5th night he was sleeping through in his own cot and has been ever since!
