ok so some friends of ours asked if they can put some boxes in our shed ...i said yip as long as it was to the side...later they said we havent found a place can we store everything here...i said i would prefer you put it in storage ....but they can put it there as long as its just a week......they asked if it could be another week until they pay bond on storage...granting i said mmmm...txt them to say how long now as car leaking need it in shed....get told end of week...month later hubby face to face asked 'when you getting your sh*t out'? they said friday latest...being today...hubby txt thursday to remind them...they come around and take 2 bags .......in the mean time i cant get to anything and i mean anything........dont want to loose friendship but wat turned into a week and how blunt can we bee.......we said it straight out...they then say they are heading to get a car cover......ummmm dude we need the shed to fix things and we got electric door so babies wouldnt get wet how is that gonna solve matters.......and yes car is leaking........wat would you do...was thinking about putting garage sale sign up at gate lol ------------- http://lilypie.com">  http://lilypie.com">

TBH I'd probably put up with it because I'm a doormat with things like that, but what I would LIKE to do would be to tell them their stuff will be on the side of the road at 4pm tomorrow and they're welcome to come pick it up. They are the ones damaging the friendship by taking advantage of you.
If it were me (esp in my current state) I'd be completely blunt and tell them to come and pick it up by the end of the weekend or it is going out on the street. Maybe you could put the car cover over it to help keep it dry?

Yeah, lay the smack down lol. They are taking advantage of you, when their stuff could be in storage. It's your space, so either turf it out or start charging rent! (Easy to say, but I would be the first one asking DH to 'lay the smack down')

a couple of simple sentences...
"you told us a week. its been *x* weeks. if its not out by *x* days/weeks/date it will be on the front lawn. its our shed. we were nice to start with but now its beyond inconvinient. get rid of it or we get rid of it for you" and if you pop a garage sale sign on it you wouldnt have to live on noodles

Obviously they are taking you for granted....not what I would call friends....
If you don't want to upset them or lose their friendship then I say put up with it......but if you have come to realise that they are just using you & talking advantage then tell them to either collect there stuff this weekend from your front lawn or bring a tarpaulin & cover it up & leave it at their own risk (it wont be there long thanks to the locals )
My friend pays approx $150 a week for storage...you could ring around find out how much it would cost then & then offer your garage cheaper...just a thought

i just phoned storage unit..they told me that they didnt have anything available and it was gonna cost hundreds....when i spoke to dude he said he has one available they can move in to day and with rent and bond its only $175 ..............mmmmmmmmmmmm hubby is at work so just waiting for him to call me back so then he can phone them........its gonna cost me nearly 600 to fix my car since its been out in the rain..........over it ------------- http://lilypie.com"> http://lilypie.com">

update: we txt them last night as we couldnt get in contact with them...saying pls move stuff out by tuesday as we need the shed and that storage is $175 all up and $55 week...no reply.........so hubby phoned her at work....she got all retarded with him saying yes we know about storage...yip and ill pull $200 out of my arse...(dude you spend more then that on KFC) then she said me and hubby werent communicating and that her partner had discussed it with me on friday.........yes we had talked but this is the conversation " we are going to warehouse to buy a car cover"....assumed he meant for our car so i just looked at him as we have a shed dont need cover..."we have just come for some stuff"....they said they where moving everything out on friday with his "bro" nothing else was said and i just continued to look at him dumb founded not nodding or anything....how is that discussing anything..........now im so angry i want to go for a run grrrr....lol but why was she a dick about it...? if i had my stuff there and i was asked to move it out man i would say yeah sweet thanks for letting us borrow it.......i dont even watn to be near them anymore which is hard cause the boys go to same daycare....the thing concerns me as that he has anger issues like strangling landlord for kicking them out cause they didnt pay rent issues. ------------- http://lilypie.com"> http://lilypie.com">
