Piper has Bronchitis and she is so grumpy and was up most of last night. I hate hearing her coughing as it is so chesty and she almost looks like she stops breathing while trying to cough. So I hope she will be better soon

Oooh, poor Piper! When Maya had croup I found that some Vicks in a bowl of boiling water underneath the cot worked like a vapouriser and seemed to help her a little.

Its nasty isnt it. Billy is 14 weeks and has Broncialitis. Its horrible that there isnt much we can do.I am really really lucky and he si still sleeping from 8.30pm til 7am but I am really getting worried as he is only drinking about 400mls of formula instead of his usual 900mls.Have had him at the doctors 3 times but they say it will get better.Fingers crossed our bubbas get over this soon

When i was a wee thing, i had lots of bouts of asthma. the doctor recommended steam, so mum went and found a big sign saying "sauna". In great huge neon pink letters - being a young'in, she took me in and said she wanted "service" for her and her daughter and they looked at her like she was the worst mum in the world - it was actually a brothel!
Anyway, hope that cheered you up and your bubba is feeling better - i hate it when they are sick nad miserable.

It will get better. All you can do really is ride it out.We were in hospital for a night a few wks ago.it sucked.first of after xrays they thought pnemonia but then changed ther minds and said bronkylitis.thay did blood tests and it was viral not bacterial so antibiotics wouldnt have done anything...although within a wk after that she did get a throat infection and antibiotics(for the tenth time in her life)Touch wood she has been good as gold since. Its so bloody stressful isnt it!!!!!!!Just keep an eye on them and remember that mothers instinct thing.I really honestly believe that we know when we need to get them to a dr!!!!dont ever feel like an idiot for taking your child back repeatedly to be checked.that makes you a good reponsible mum.
