I know it's almost a golden rule that you should never post on the internet if you've been drinking BUT... I can't help it ! We were given a bottle of really nice champagne as a baby gift from one of my mum's friends, and since Erin is now a bottle baby AND turning one month old today, thought it couldn't hurt to celebrate a little Must say that after 10 months plus of abstaining that my tolerance isn't as low as I thought, but that said, I think I am going to stop now and at least have something to eat Really not keen on a hangover tomorrow, since Erin and I are supposed to be going out to the mall with a friend and her bubba, but we'll see. Have a good night everyone !

LOL Managed to keep it to two and a half glasses along with my dinner, but being a sensible girl now and starting in on the water so that I don't feel too horrible tomorrow ! Was really nice while it lasted though

Well, I think it's safe to say I don't have a hangover, YAY !! Not that this means I'm going to turn into a lush and start drinking all the time though, I think this is one of those things where slowly does it...

I some times think I miss it but I dont crave for it or any thing. I love my beer, so every now and then when hubby is drinking, the smell will make me feel like I miss it...I dont know when I will have a drink next...hmmmm??

I have a sip of Daniels beer sometimes and that tastes much better than wine!

Well, in theory you can still drink while breastfeeding, but it would be too much hard work I think ! You have to express off enough for a feed before you have the drink, then a whole bunch of other stuff I can't remember involving waiting times per drink so that the alcohol dissipates out of your system effectively

You can drink while breastfeeding. As a rule I don't but I did for my 21st.
Alex was 4 months old, I had expressed heaps of milk & was all set to go.
Had an AWESOME night, right up to doing my 21 shots, walked out of the garage & passed out. Then woke up the next morning still tiddly. Started drinking water to stop the hangover & mum tells me that she hasn't got any more milk for Alex because he guzzled it all the night before.
I felt so terrible having to feed him but I did. And just to prove that it does affect them he slept really well all day & all night. Oops!

I've done it (the next morning)
I figured with all the alcohol I drank while pregnant, a little more wouldn't hurt.
Mind you, it only took about a glass of wine to end up drunk so she can't have got that much through the milk.

P.S. For those that are new... didn't intentionally drink alcohol while pregnant.

The first thing my plunket nurse told me was that you can drink while bf just wait 8 hours between last drink and feeding bubs. I've done it a couple of times and the next day you have so much milk. But its actually not that worth it because you just want to sleep all day
