There might have been a thread about this awhile back but Im too lazy to go searching for it. I love to read and I am always going to the library so I was wondering if anyone has any good book recommendations?
I'm not into fantasy/sci fi books. Prefer ones that are more real life or chick lit, quite like biographies too. Also, has anyone read any good books in raising children/ development etc?? ------------- http://lilypie.com">

I really like Rosamunde Pilcher. But you might not find the attraction. I love it because she writes about Scotland, Cornwall and London - and I have spent quite a bit of time in 3 of those places. | I've just started reading "he'll be ok" by Celia Lashlie, also reading "Angela's Ashes" by Frank McCourt, & "the Wombles" by Elisabeth Beresford- I tend to have several completely different books on the go at the same time. Addicted to Diana Gabaldon. Parenting wise Nigel Latta's books are brilliant. What books have you read & enjoyed? |

| ummm Jodi Picoult (My Sisters Keeper and Nineteen Minutes particularly), The Lovely Bones, I have alot of autobiographies from survivors of child abuse (i like the happy endings) that if you want my list i can give it to you, Dean Koontz, Virginia Andrews (Flowers in the Attic series) and i have 4 more boxes of books that are packed up that i cant remember... but there are some good ones, so when i dig them out i can let you know lol |

Cross stitch series The World without end and The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett The Independence of Miss Mary Bennet by Colleen McCullough (just got this out of the library today) We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver (fully recommend this) Millenium series by Stieg Larsson. The first one is "The girl with the dragon tattoo" which has been made into a film, next is "The girl who played with fire" and last is "The girl who kicked the hornets' nest House Rules - Jodi Picoult Cleo : how an uppity cat helped heal a family (heart wrenching) ------------- Mr Mellow (16) Miss Attitude (8) Destructa Kid (3)
