during pregnancy? Just curious to see what everyones opinions are regarding physical work?

I am not fit in any way and whenever I do strenuos (sp)? physical work it usually involves sore muscles the next day.

I would if I could start the mower. I swear my mower hates me. The only part id be hesitant about doing is the tramp, having to drag it to mow under it. But I guess it also depends on your yard, ours is flat so I think its fine but I wouldn't do my aunts house, on the hills id be scared I'd fall and hurt my bump

DH is away and they need doing then I do them, once I get it started its not too hard.
Dh did suggest getting someone to do them for me, cause I was pregnant I looked at him like he'd grown an extra head or something, its not hard I only have to push the thing round the section.

I hate mowing lawns, I am scared of the lawnmower so whether pregnant or not I don't do them... DF has the same fear of the vaccum cleaner ... If we had a push mower and our lawns weren't absolutely massive I would do it sometimes I guess...

i did actually the only time I did mow lawns was when I was pregnant. We have an enviro mower tho so easy to start - just push a button:)

I really enjoyed it - gave me something to do while getting exercise.

yup I actually really enjoyed doing the lawn when pregnant, gave me a bit of a workout, I thought it might help this baby come early but sadly that didn't happen!

But it sure felt good to do some exercise! and the payoff of seeing the lawn nicely mowed. (oh and that cut grass smell! )

i mowed the lawns right through too and we have a handmower. lol. but i also re-filled our yard with 2000kg of soil and built a fence. so im not a great example of taking it easy. i feel the same as ems. i was pregnant not disabled. if things hurt, or are too tiring or anything like that then they shouldnt be done but if you feel fine then i reckon do all you can :)
