I thought I would post this so that other mum's could get something done earlier than we have.
Yesterday at his 6 wk check i asked the Dr about how Noah's ear lobes curl up slightly and she suggested a consultation with the plastic surgeon that visits their clinic. Anyway the surgeon said that his ears are very slightly (i hate this word) deformed and he's put a splint similar to http://www.earbuddies.co.uk/pws/Content.ice?page=FIT&pgForward=content - this and tape on his ears to try an correct it now so surgery wouldn't necessary when he was older.
Now out of all the midwives and nurses who have seen him since birth only the plunket nurse suggested getting the dr to look at them at his 6 wk check and now it turns out if we had seen someone earlier it would have taken less time and most likely have better success at moulding his ears into the right shape.
I thought other people should know that if you think your babies ears look slightly odd to get them checked out as early as possible!
Noah's ears looked like this and we didn't think that much of it to be honest, just that they would uncurl as he got older....

i so didnt know they looked at fixing them at a young age...
DPs ear lobes are like noah's but his are cos hes "fat", as he looses weight they uncurl a little
but they have always been like that, so we will have to watch our kids ears.
