Not sure sorry, but if you are concerned check with the mw, do you think it could have been some of your plug? or what exactly did the CM look like?

It could be your mucus plug as thats generally clear or pink in colour. If its blood kind of spotting (brown or red) that will be something else. I'd check with your MW.

ring your MW and ask her, but after sex its really common, but if you had the spotting before sex then at 32 weeks Id definitly be getting that checked out.

I never saw any blood in CM until my waters broke and I had my show.

Yeah I never saw blood with my plug, but knew it was my plug because it looked totally different to the CM I had been getting before it. Also I had pinky waters when my waters broke but it wasn't blood it was just because I lost the plug according to mw if that makes sense!

most likely sex hun... but do send your mw a txt to let her know.... I find the further along I get the drier I become (increasing prolactin levels can do that) and it feels really tight... just so you know thats not abnormal

Could be, I would be inclined to just double check with the mw though seeing as it was before you had sex.

Chances are it is probably nothing, but seeing as you asked here, I gather it's bugging you.

Although I remember when bubs dropped I didn't have to pee so much.

I would give your MW a call ot txt tomorrow and just let her know, any spotting in late pregnancy should be checked out really, its probably nothing but better to be safe than sorry, especially as it was actually before you had sex.

OH missed that it started before sex..

I stand by you should send your mw a txt... sort of like "FYI I have had some spotting, it seems to have stopped now but just thought I should mention it".

As Shez said, its probably nothing BUT it doesnt hurt to mention it so she is aware!

It wasn't you    In a different thread a person got a bit offended with the content so that's probably why Nic has edited.

Nic - honestly I would definitely check with your m/w. I had a bit of spotting at 32 weeks 3 days with my first and that night I went into labour (not to scare you as it could be nothing). Definitely worth being checked out though. I had no other sign that I was in labour except the odd cramp. I got to hospital and they did an internal and then my waters broke there and then. Very scary when you are not expecting to go into pre-term labour. Better to be safe then sorry.
And also, I wouldn't take to heart what was said in the other thread. If you can't ask the questions here - where can you?

Just saw, OMG

I agree, don't pay attention, you had a genuine question, so the details weren't exactly rated 'pg'... But if she doesn't like whats posted here then she doesn't have to post.

I personally wasn't offended at all by the content if you are coming back and looking at this Nic.

Maybe put a 'TMI' in the title to warn off people who might be a little more sensitive in future, but I agree with the other ladies that if you can't ask this stuff here, where can you ask it??

Yeah I dunno where the comments were made but for heavens sake, you should be able to ask here...anyway, if someone doesn't like what is being said they can just not read.

Anyway, have no idea what the original post was....but my mucus plug came on it's own and there was no blood from memory. I am probably not a good one for comparison coz I had placental abruption so later on in labour I had lots of blood (like heaps and heaps, not just spotting, don't want you to freak out)...but I remember reading on the form thing we had about 'when to go to hospital' that you should ring the midwife if your waters break or you have any bleeding so yeah...they are there to support you so don't ever feel embarrassed about asking if things are normal, even in the middle of the night!!! Plus there is always the hospital midwives you can ring or healthline too...

Hope all is well

That's good, glad everything is okay and good that you have midwife on Wed so you can ask your little heart out about any strange things lol.

I think that trusting your instinct is really important and when things are strange 'for you' it is fine to feel concerned.

Well, I hope it doesn't make me unpopular, but to be honest, when you share details about how it was 'tight' but you were 'ready', my first reaction is 'well, that's way more than I'd be sharing about my sex life on a public forum'! I'm more of a 'So we BD'd last night and it's possible I have a graze from that' kind of girl.

In saying that, I don't think there's anything that says you shouldn't post that kind of stuff, it's not like it's pornographic or anything. Just perhaps a bit TMI for me (so perhaps TMI in the title would have helped).

As for the actual question, I think the standard advice applies - most likely nothing to worry about at all, but if anything bothers you that's what midwives are there for and I'm sure they'd rather you asked than worried about it

While I can see where you are coming from Hopes, they may have been pertinent details even if not written in the way others may have worded them.

It can be quite disconcerting when things feel "weird" so I think its a far enough question.. ie was whatever causing the spotting related to the changed "conditions"....

Anyway, Nic hope you are ok today.... your fb status has me slightly concerned!

Do talk to your MW about it Nic.
For me with my blood type, spotting / bleeding of any kind is something I need to be concerned about, and to inform my MW of.
I had something similar happen to me in the 1st tri and it seriously freaked me out and scared the sh*te out of me. I was too scared to go near DH until 12 weeks scan.

Sorry but blood during pregnancy aren't something anyone wants to see.

Your MW will have heard it plenty before and will no doubt reassure you one way or other.
