So we have a Canon 450D...
For DS first birthday I would love to get a group shot of everyone using a tripod (we have about 100 people)
My question is.....
Is it possible to buy a remote of some kind that takes the photo while everyone is in the photo ??
We usually set the timer and DH runs back into the pic.. is that the only way ??
thanks in advance

Yep, but the genuine Canon ones can be expensive. I have the same camera and the cable that I had with my 300D didn't fit the 450D, so I am currently looking on Trade Me for one that will. Would be interested to hear if anyone else here has a cheaper cable or IR remote that does the trick.

You should be able to get a wireless shutter release - a corded one would need you to be too close.
did a quick google search - try these maybe?

Oh good thread, we have a 400D. And great linky SM. We use our timer at the moment but that can be bit of a PITA. I'd love a wireless remote.
