I am having lunch with my father next week in Wellington CBD, are there any child friendly cafes? Most I know of are either upstairs or very limited space or no change table. I know there is the Southern Cross place up Cuba, just wondering if there is anything else?
Has to be CBD as neither of us have a car! I can take Lily in the front pack if need be, but was planning to take the P&T so she could have a snooze! ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Clarks Cafe at the Library. Te Papa Verve on Lambton Quay (no toys but for some reason I've gone there lots with the girls) |

Brooklyn Cafe on college street is child friendly, not sure about the change facility but the have a kids play area so possiblly.
Enigma on Courtney Place is quite large so plenty of room for a pram. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Te papa? I like brooklyn cafe as it has a little slide set which the kids love and you can ring and get them to reserve a table near the play area (well they've done this before). ------------- http://lilypie.com">

downstairs cafe at Te Papa - loads of room for push chairs etc and very child friendly and a nice walk along the water front on a good day ------------- |

Brooklyn cafe is great - can be pricey but not so bad if you just have counter food rather than something off the menu. I often meet DH there for lunch on Fridays and it usually costs us about $25-$30, including two rather large coffees! :-) ------------- http://lilypie.com">

| I personally wouldn't take kids to Dixon St Deli as it's way too tight and fairly noisy depending what time you're there. If it's a nice day Astoria on Lambton Quay is good because you can at least sit outside. L'Affaire, Clarks in the library, and even the Fishermans Table is ok but it's a bit further out. |
