Hi,
Am currently tossing up wether or not to buy the Bassinet opition for my Dash? I think they are around $180? so not cheap.
Are they worth it?
How many months use did you get out of it?
I guessing it could come in handy if we are out visiting and baby needs a sleep etc??
Thanks:)

We have one, I've used it in the pram once. She's almost too big for it now, used it a couple of times at MILs for her to sleep in but imo, not worth it...

I didn't end up getting one. Even from very early I just laid the buggy seat back as far as it would go and she'd sleep in it fine. But as you say they're good to actually use as a bassinet. In fact our DD slept in one as her bassinet by our bed (it was a hand me down and didn't fit our buggy) until she outgrew it.

I got the bassinet for our Vibe. We used it till bubs was about 3-4 months, as at that age he started wanting to see things.
I'm glad we had it, it meant that baby is facing you, and they are higher up, which is really nice when they are newborn, and its a little snugglier and cozy in there IMO.
We also used it when we went out ie to family's for him to sleep in.
So it just depends if you think you will use it, and can justify the extra $$
btw, he still fits in it, and use it occasionaly it for sleeps at peoples houses.

I got the carry cot option with our Milano, and it is one of the best things I bought. DS is just starting to get out of it now, but I have used it almost constantly as a bassinet for day use, as a portacot for people's houses, and even when we went to Christchurch when he was six weeks old. We have gone out to restaurants several times when the whole pram just didn't fit, but we have taken off the carrycot and put it across a couple of chairs, and DS slept in that.
Now he's getting bigger, I've tried DS in the full recline in the stroller bit, but he just doesn't sleep as well when we're out and about -- I think it isn't as cosy, and it's not as easy for me to see him.
Edited: DS was 6 wks when we went away -- originally wrote months -- not there yet!

I agree - if you get it free or cheap enough then they are good value - but don't pay full rpice
