I have downloaded http://www.mechcad.net/products/acemoney/index_lite.shtml - AceMoney Lite as per Genie's post in the Frugal 2010 thread hoping that it will be less timeconsuming than my budget spreadsheet.
Anyway to be able to download my account/transaction details from my accounts the programme wants me to add my bank a/c number and it also mentions entering the password. Do I do this? Is it likely to be safe? I am not very IT or internet savvy, just know the basics and don't want to end up in trouble with possible hackers etc if I do this ------------- Lindsey

I personally wouldnt do it. I think most internet banking lets you download your statements as CSV file which you may be able to use with your program. -------------

That's what I thought but then wondered if I was being too paranoid/cautious, obviously not! Thanks
The set up instructions aren't very good but will keep searching for another way to import the info. ------------- Lindsey
