Hi ladies,
DD is almost 9months old and just a few days ago she decided she doesn't like her bottle anymore - or milk I'm not sure which one. She has been exclusively bottle fed for a couple months now and has been fine. The only way I can get her milk into her is a by dream feeding her, to which I have to stay up till 10pm to do as she goes to bed at 7pm for the night. Is this an extreme form of teething issues? Her second tooth cut the gum yesterday, and I also went back to work part time the day she started this? Maybe a mix of the two??? I would love to hear any advise or tips on getting her take the bottle again.... I am one worried mama  she is and always has been a small baby and I worry that she can't really afford to not get that milk!

Yes it's usually sickness in my experience rather than just teething. Have you tried giving pamol prior to a feed and taken her to the Doc for a checkup? When DS was unwell and refusing the breast, I had to give sippy cup and syringes of water to him every 10mins to make sure he didn't get dehydrated (he wasn't intot he sippy cup either) ....
Do watch for dehydration signs too... I don't blame you for being worried. |

Thanks ladies. I took DD to doc this morning and everything looks ok, she not dehydrated (getting water into via a pump bottle is the easy part) no ear or throat infections, but they did do a urine sample so will see what the outcome is for that.
I have tried giving her milk the same way I give her water - but she still won't take it - someone suggested maybe she doesn't like the milk anymore? Giving her a bit of pamol before a feed used to work... but I think she clued onto that trick lol lol |
