I need to find my fur-baby a loving new home I really would love to not have to but my situation is such that I need to face that reality.

His name is Angus and he's nearly 7 years old (born October 2003). He has a very affectionate and gentle personality - can be a little timid in new situations and with new people but once he gets to know you (and understands you're the one providing food ) then you couldn't ask for a sweeter cat.

Any questions, ask away.

I am in Wellington - if you think you could be Angus' new best friend PM me.

Naw That is sad. I hope you find a great home for him tho! I'm sure there will be plenty of takers cause he is adorable! I'm not normally a cat person but if I lived in Wellington and didn't own a dog that hates cats, I'd put my hand up for him!

Thanks Lisa, I hope I find him a great new home too.

Also, thought I should add for anyone who might be interested, or know someone who is...

I'm not rehoming him because he doesn't get along with my wee man or anything like that - it's more because being a single mum with a newborn I'm finding I can't pay him the attention he deserves and money is rather tight.

There's also the added stress of me moving to Chch in 3 weeks to be closer to family, and I don't want to put him through the stress of that if I can find him a new home up here.

He is beautiful. I would take him if I didn't live in Auckland.

Try phoning the SPCA or Cats Protection League in Wellington if you have no luck here. They can re-home him for you.

He's a lovely boy, I'm sure someone will love to have him.

Thanks for the suggestion Caliandjack, had thought about giving them a call but guess I've been procrastinating a wee bit on this.

He is pretty cute...if we didn't live in aussie I would take him.
As an aside, we brought our 14 year old puss over from NZ last year and he loves it here...granted the three plane rides and long car drive were not his favourite but he coped beautifully!
You will also find that once things settle down, you get more time for puss again. Probably shouldn't tell you this since you have made decision but I know how special pets can be!
