Ben was pretty good fro jamming his feet up under there too, it was so uncomfortable. The only thing that really helped for me was lying down until he moved. It seemed to encourage him to move but also relievd the pain a bit too.

hmmm no its not heartburn, it started out as a bruised sensitive feeling right under my one rib, now it is under both ribs and it is more sore, like more burning...
hmm I think it must a some body parts banging into me, but just cant figure out how to relieve it ... ahhh welll....

If it's a foot push her and she should move a bit. If its heartburn take whatever you can take for it and hope it goes away.

I understand that giving birth tends to help these aches and pains to go away, but that isn't much help for five weeks....
Talk to your midwife and get her to check it out for you - other than that, try giving the top of the bump a prod to get it moving. The baby has probably pushed up all of your internal organs to the point that one or two are protesting about the lack of room...it should hopefully ease up over the next week or two as the bump makes the trip south. (to be replaced by sore hips and pelvis with all of the pressure).

Yea i can relate to that feeling. It feels likes your ribs are bruised. I was also told that it was just baby pushing against them. It seemed to carry on until he dropped.

I had a killer sore spot on my belly. It felt like a bruise but then when you pushed it....eeeeeek! it was so sore!!! Mine turned out to be a muscle absolutely stetched to the limit... and I can still press it now and it kills me. Unfortunately I think you just have to suffer!

hhmmm yes, the whole suffering theme seems to be occuring more frequently in my life these days ...ah well... just a good reason to feel sorry for myself and reward myself with ymuuy food I guess...

I have a similar feeling that comes and goes through out the day....the really annoying part is that when I shove it - it shoves me back....little minx!!!
If it is a baby body part lodged in there and not something else I read a good tip that works....get on your hands and knees and arch your back...then gentle relax your back down...repeat several times and it really seems to dislodge them!

I get the sore ribs thing. I told my midwife today - she laughed and basically told me what I know - the joys of pregnancy. Oh and she wasn't laughing at me but with me. You'd think after 2 kids already I can handle it but nope. I am tall and she said to comfort me think if I was only 5 ft how much it would be hurting me as theres little room there. She right - something positive (sorry if you are 5 ft I feel for you )
