I'm not sure if what I'm getting is signs of SPD or just general PG/baby engaged wear and tear. Here's the story ....
Last week I started doing some light leg toning exercises, trying to (a) keep legs and thighs under control in late pregnancy and (b) strengthen for labour. When I saw the MW on Monday - baby is well engaged. Waddle has well and truly kicked in. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, went for light walks (on the flat, 1.5K or so).
What I've noticed is that I'm getting more broad pelvic pain, all around the pelvis, front and back. I'm also tender at the front of the pelvic bone, where they join/are connected though this isn't too bad. My inner thighs are also quite sore. It's the generalised pressure through the pelvis that is more tiring and it's feeling more like the pressure I got just before Dan was born.
While Dan engaged early (32 weeks), I have no memory of this general pelvic/thigh discomfort from him being engaged early on. I can definitely feel this one is well down with its head grating against my pelvis.
Has anyone had similar issues just from having a well engaged baby? If you had SPD, what did it feel like?

Its hard to say, while I appreciate that you want to keep toned i think maybe go easy on the toning and see if it improves????
There is no way I could do leg toning exercises with my SPD... I wouldnt be able to walk afterwards and this kid is no where near engaging!
It could be a combination of engagement and the exercises that might be putting a bit too much pressure on your pelvis? Are you doing your pelvic floor exercises too???? The mat physio told me doing those would really help as the the stronger they are will help hold your pelvis.

Hmmmmm I'd say it may be the exercise. I was able to pick up and start exercise again because I was going hard before getting preg but I started out again slow. Like with swimming I can go 800m and then I start getting signs of pain going to start so I stop immediately.
The inner thighs is probably from the leg lifts cause you were doing that right?

Sounds like a combo of the exercise and maybe round ligament pain, I found with SPD that the pain was very localised and sharp (like a knife through the bone), rather than spreading.
