Not sure whether this is a silly question but can you freeze pizza dough?  Or keep it in the fridge for a night? Or would I be better to make a couple of pizzas to reheat?

I have made pizza dough in the bread maker but don't need all of it tonight...unless I get really, really piggy!

You can definitely keep it in the fridge overnight. I worked at a pizza restaurant and they kept it in the bar fridge when they had made alot for big functions etc.

I would imagine you can freeze it too, just like cookie dough?

Its best kept in the freezer, depends on how you make it.
I make the yeast one and its continued to rise in the fridge.
I found it kept better if I rolled it out first and froze it flat rather than in a ball.

That's a good idea to roll it out before freezing - I wouldn't have thought of that (can see it now...battling half frozen pizza dough balls!).

In the end I just used the whole lot.  I figured I can take some for work tomorrow.  But that's useful for next time because I ended up with a pretty thick base.  There was definitely enough for two pizzas.  Thanks guys.

I freeze pizza dough all the time but leave it in balls. Takes about 10-15mins to defrost and is really easy to roll out.
