My son is 7 1/2 months, will be almost 8 months when daylight savings rolls around at the end of this month. He is up between 6 and 7am, and goes to bed at 7pm. Wakes once or twice a night for a feed.
What would your advice be for the change in time with daylight savings??? Do I try and move the bed time by 15 mins from now? And how does it work with wake up time? I can't really "change" it as such??? TIA!

Hi, there's some really good info on the Sleep Store website about this. I read it last year but didn't actually need to do anything different as my DS just went down at his usual time (ie was in bed at 7pm regardless of the change). Not sure if it'll be the same this year as he's nearly 15mo. We just went with the flow, and put him to bed at the usual time - around 7 pm, so on the day it was actually 8pm but we stretched him out a bit and he was fine. It was harder going the other way to be honest. ------------- http://lilypie.com">  http://lilypie.com">

| 15 mins adjustment works well. TBH tho I'm hanging out for it - 6am wake up becomes 7am and 6.30 pm bed becomes 7.30, which we will move to 7pm |

Lily has already started putting herself to bed about 30 mins later than normal what with it being lighter now already. She is also waking between 7-7.30am used to be 6.30-7. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

I'm not too worried DD is used to staying up occasionally so we should be fine. I'm more worried about her waking up too early at the other end  I'm not a morning person by any means.

| I've not really found the switch to be an issue. I just put them to bed round about the normal time (which can vary by 15 or so minutes anyway). |

Ive never had an issue either, I just put them down at the normal time, stuck to the same bedtime routine, and they just adjusted. ------------- |

I'm looking forward to it as the kids have started waking close to 6am at the mo, so that will be 7am soon! (hate it when it goes the other way!!!!!) With bedtime I just usually move it gradually over a couple of days, they seem to cope fine. ------------- DS (5yrs) and DD (3yrs) |

Same!! But then the other day we had a 5.30am wake up and I was thinking noooooooooooo don't wake up even earlier. I remember last time I was worried, but it wasn't a problem at all - probably çause he'was so little and not on a routine anyway. Or maybe I forgot. ------------- http://alterna-tickers.com">

| Nice to know its not just us getting woken before 6! I have started a sleep log - def sleeps better at night with better days sleeps. Only thing is I don't want her going to sleep at 7.45 - like my evenings to myself. |
